Miles Roberts is an undergraduate at Washington State University who will graduate this May with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Biology, minoring in Chemistry, and minoring in Mathematics. For the past two years, Miles has conducted undergraduate research investigating the mechanism behind how some soil bacteria tolerate heavy metal-rich environments. He is interested in the Genetics and Genome sciences program at Michigan State University because he aspires to work in academia as a plant geneticist. Miles would honor the opportunity to work in the labs of Drs. Barry, Buell, Josephs, Grumet, Childs, or Farre.
